Sewing Machine Tales

So, I had a ton of sewing projects I wanted to do this month for Valentine's Day.  Home decor projects and dresses for the girls.  The problem?  My sewing machine decided it was time to retire.  It's a cheap Kenmore from Sears that I was given as a gift about 12 years ago.  It's been a really great sewing machine but it's been limping along for a while and I guess it had finally had enough.  I just can't get the tension to work right anymore.  I've tried everything.  So, I decided I would bite the bullet and get a new sewing machine but first I had to wait for my tax return.  I got my tax return yesterday so today I went out to find a sewing machine, and I did!  I really did!

Her name is Sofia(2) by Baby Lock.  I'm super excited!  This is a huge upgrade for me.  I'm in love with all the great features: the automatic buttonholes, the thread cutter, the needle threader, oh and did I mention, the embroidery!  The only problem, they didn't have one it stock. So now it's just a waiting game but they should get it in by the end of next week.  Patience is a virtue.  I've had a basic machine for 12 years so I can wait another 5 or 6 days, right??
